I saw thee weep the big bright teracame o`er that eye of blueAnd then methought it did appearA violet dropping dewI saw thee smilethe sapphire`s blazeBeside thee ceased to shine it could not match the living raysThat fillld that of thineAs clouds from yonder sun receiveA deep and mellow dyewhich scarce the shade of coming eveCan banish from the skyThose smiles unto the moodiest mindTheir own pure joy impartTheir sunshine leaves a glow behindThat lightens o`er the heart
